The visit started at our winery Altocedro, in La Consulta, where Joaquín was able to taste the latest vintage, still in concrete tanks and barrels, with Karim and our winemaker, Laura Olguín.

The tasting then continued in the cellar of the impressive Casa de Uco luxury hotel, where thirteen other wines from our brands Altocedro, Alandes and Qaramy were tasted and reviewed. 

It was a very interesting day, where Joaquín wanted to know more about the background stories of the winery, our team and the concept behind each brand. During the tasting, he gave his feedback on each wine and, in overall terms, he underlined the outstanding quality of the different Malbecs in the portfolio, especially the 2021s, and a lot of consistency in the Cabernet Sauvignon. He highlighted stylistic qualities such as freshness and complexity of aromas and in the palate, especially the handling of the tannins.
