We stand out the qualities of this grape variety, highlighting its ability to express terroir and typicity, as well as its stylistic ductility. Therefore, we want to pay tribute to our great family of KMW Malbecs, where each one shows a unique concept and character. —

Visit of our importer in UK

We were very happy with this visit where we had the opportunity to receive a group of retailers and distributors from different regions of the UK, thanks to our importer there, Condor Wines. We received them first, in our tasting room in Maipú and afterwards, in our vineyard and winery in La Consulta, Valle de Uco. | February - March, 2024. —

There is no greater recognition than that of those who choose our wines. Whatever the reason for their choice, they decide to make our wines the companions of their special moments. Likewise, it very gratifying to hear from colleagues in the wine world who recognise the work behind each bottle, and who admire Karim's career as a winemaker. Karim in Perú | La Canastería event

At the beginning of September, Karim travelled to Peru to carry out a series of events alongside our commercial partners Andes Gourmet / La Canastería. With a full and varied agenda, it was a great opportunity to strengthen ties with our different partners in this country, who work with and communicate our brands, as well as to share tastings and talks with friends and wine lovers who choose our wines. —

New Restaurante at Alandes Winery.

Vico @ Karim Mussi Winemaker. A new enogastronomic experience is launched in Maipú. This time, the result of the partnership of two projects, Vico Mendoza restaurant and Karim Mussi Winemaker. This venture represents the desire to combine their joint strengths and creativity, in order to offer a unique experience that blends flavours, aromas and wine. —

VINOUS | RED & WHITE WINES SCORES 2023

We are very happy for the ratings obtained for our red wines by the renowned wine writer JOAQUÍN HIDALGO for VINOUS, one of the most respected wine trade media in the United States. In addition to the excellent scores and tasting notes, we thank them for including us in their September, 2023 publishings: "The Uco Valley, Where Diverse Terroirs Work Their Magic" (Red Wines Report) and "The Age of the Mountain Whites: Enjoying the Altitude", (for their White Wines Report). —

LAUNCHING FINCAS LOS INMIGRANTES MALBEC 2022

We would like to share with you the launch of a new vintage of our FINCAS LOS INMIGRANTES MALBEC 2022. This blend of Malbecs from historic vineyards belongs to our FINCAS SINGLE VINEYARDS collection, which pays homage to the early 20th century immigrants who settled in different areas of the Uco Valley, Mendoza. Finca Los Inmigrantes is only produced on exceptional occasions. A wine of very few bottles, with a deep sense of terroir that pays tribute to our history. | September, 2023. —

Karim Mussi in Brazil - Events 2023

At the end of July, Karim travelled to Brazil to coordinate a series of events with our Brand Ambassador, André Valentim, in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. It was a nice opportunity to strengthen the bonds with the different partners in Brazil, who work and communicate our brands, as well as to share tastings and talks with friends and wine lovers who cherish our wines. —

New Vegan Certification!

We share the news that we have received the certification by LIAF CONTROL, the first certifier of VEGAN PRODUCTS in Argentina. 24 wines have undergone a verification process, where we received a seal that ensures that our winemaking inputs and practices, are of non-animal and non-animal-derived origin. Therefore, this achievement represents our commitment to guaranteeing greater transparency and quality in our production processes, as well as the management of practices that are more eco-friendly. —

Harvest Report 2023

For several harvests now, we have had the feeling of being a little bit like on a rollercoaster. Not only was this 2023 no exception, but we could say that this one was arguably one of the wildest ever. The months of September and October were part of a very busy agenda for our Brand Ambassador in BRAZIL, André Valentim, who organised a variety of events where our customers were able to taste some of our most exclusive wines. 2022 Harvest Overview

Harvest 2022: with its challenges and pleasant surprises, there is one more harvest in our experience! And we are very happy with its outcome. For this report, we decided to interview to the key person responsible for orchestrating the logistics and decision making involved in deciding when to pick the grapes. New vintage! FINCAS COLLECTION | MALBEC 2019

Three vineyards, three stories, three distinctive cultures expressed in terroir wines. We would like to share with you the release of the 2019 vintage of our three MALBECS belonging to our FINCAS collection. FINCA LOS TANOS, FINCA LOS GALLEGOS & FINCA LOS TURCOS are limited editions that emerged as a tribute to those immigrants of the early 20th century who conquered the Mendoza desert setting their bases in different subregions of La Consulta (Uco Valley): Altamira, Chacón and El Cepillo. —

Happy World Malbec Day! This April 17 th we join Malbec World Celebrations around the world. Cheers to Malbec producers all over the world! Specifically to Argentina winegrowers, where Malbec has become the signature grape variety and where there is greater production and diversity of styles and clonal material. Malbec has been successfully grown in the different wine regions towards the Andes mountains since the mid-1800s; most notably in Mendoza, where it was firstly planted in the country and where the altitude and dry desert conditions gave this grape the best climate conditions to thrive. —

Avant Première of 3 new Caprichos

Last Saturday we held our annual CENA CON EL ENÓLOGO celebration. This time, the venue was in Mendoza, more precisely, in our centenary winery ALANDES in Maipú. This event was created with the intention of hosting the members of our Wine Club who, for this occasion, travelled from all over the country to attend this meeting where they had the opportunity to taste in Avant Premiere the new additions to our collection of unique, exclusive and unpublished wines: El Jardín de los Caprichos. At the same time, they enjoyed a beautiful evening along with with Lebanese food, art, live music and a few surprises. | March, 2022 —

Alandes Wines Event | Argentina wine sales

This week we received our friends and national sales agents of our Alandes wines: Grupo Colosso Wines and Equipo Sottano. A great occasion where representatives from different regions of Argentina were able to taste some recent and upcoming vintages, as well as to share their experiences of selling and communicating each of the wines through their different sales channels. —

Vino del Sol, visit & tasting | 2022

Last week we welcomed once again to our friends and importers in the USA, Vino del Sol, along with a very enthusiastic group of retailers and wine journalists from several places (Atlanta, Texas, Savannah, New York). They tasted and learned more about the winemaking of some of our wines from the Altocedro portfolio and then finished the evening with a magical touch of Lebanese food made by Laila Mussi, Karim's sister, paired with our Altocedro Barrel Collection Pinot Noir and Rosé Merlot. Besides, later on that week, they also had the opportunity to visit our Altocedro winery in La Consulta (Uco Valley) in the middle of the grape harvest and reception of the grapes. —

CALM BEFORE THE STORM

The harvest is approaching and, before the relative calm prevailing in the winery, a breeze of excitement, hustle and bustle begins to emerge, embracing the preparations prior to the imminent reception of the grapes. Watching our team at work, one has no choice but to feel like a witness to a theatre play in the days leading up to the premiere of their show. Each member of the company concentrates on making sure that their part is rehearsed, the "instruments" are ready and the plan is well thought out so that when the grapes hit the winery floor, each member will begin their "performance". But before concentrating on what happens in the winery during these days, we would like to take a brief look at the path of our grapes in the vineyards. —

Long live the Malbec!

For us, nothing fills us with more pride than to be recognised for our commitment and ability to express in the most precise way the typicity of our grape varieties in their different terroirs. Therefore, we are very excited with the news of having been awarded by two of the most important wine tasting competitions in Latin America, DESCORCHADOS 2022 (Descorchados Guide) and the TOP 50 BEST MALBECS IN ARGENTINA Report (by VINÓMANOS). Both, in addition to giving high scores to many of our wines, agreed on the special distinction to our Altocedro Gran Reserva Malbec 2018, being chosen among the top 10 of the 50 best Malbecs of Argentina and as the Best Malbec of La Consulta. —

Hosting two wine writers (December, 2021)

This month we hosted two big names of the wine journalism world: SHAWN ZYLBERBERG, assistant editor of one of the most prestigious and influential international wine magazines, Wine Spectator. And the British writer AMANDA BARNES, whose first published book, South America Wine Guide, is now considered one of the most relevant, comprehensive and authoritative wine book edition on the South American wine regions abroad, exploring in detail and with profound knowledge the history and geography of each region. —

HARVEST REPORT 2021

We can summarize the 2021 season through many different aspects. The less optimistic group will refer to it by using a single word: "rain", while the most optimistic ones, like us, will prefer two words: "exceptional quality". —

SUSTAINABILITY MANIFIESTO

Since our beginnings and almost spontaneously, we have embraced the concepts behind natural practices: traditional, sustainable and low intervention farming practices. We understand it as an holistic matter: “We live on the land we farm, respecting carefully the water, the soil and the people around our families and workers” —

HARVEST REPORT 2020

Despite the COVID-19 circumstances, the 2020 harvest could be memorable for its own reasons: great quality under unusual conditions. The main characteristic could be the early ripeness, where in some areas or vineyards, such as EL CEPILLO, there was a difference in phenological terms, up to 13 days in comparison to the previous vintage. —
