Interview with Mónica Senra.

We invite you to get to know her passion for wine and gastronomy and how she has now become our beloved brand ambassador in Buenos Aires.

- What does wine mean to you?

For me, wine is a connection, it is the perfect excuse to meet, to enjoy, to live other experiences, and to bond. For example, at a wine tasting, people who don't know each other usually meet, but their passion for wine & food generates a unique bond that often leads to friendship. In other words, it is the common thread that guides and transports us to various places.

- When and how did you get to know our wines?

In the world of wine, in which I have been involved for more than 12 years, I had heard about someone known as EL TURCO, who was revolutionising the expression or the way of making wines. One day, at a blind tasting with some colleagues, one of his wines turned out to be my favourite, a wine that really caught my attention. But it was some time later that I was able to visit the winery in Mendoza, where I found an incredible universe, several labels from different wineries, each project with its own unique history, which made me very curious to continue discovering Karim's world. From then on, I followed a path of tastings and gradually getting to know the profile of each of these brands and their wines.  I fell in love with several of them, such as the Paradoux Blend of reds.

- What does it mean to you to be a brand ambassador for Karim Mussi Winemaker?

For me, representing Karim wines is a great challenge and a great responsibility. I feel that there is a lot to tell, a universe to communicate to the consumer. To be able to transmit and spread the passion that Karim puts into each wine, each brand, where every detail is thought out and that makes each of these projects unique. From the care and management of the vines, when I was in Altocedro, the La Consulta team explained to me in detail every process, both in the vineyards and in the winemaking process. There is so much care, so much detail behind every task and decision. Then, the labels, each one has its own identity; for me, it is not about telling that Karim makes good and delicious wines, but about awakening the senses in the other person, their emotion. If I had to define a word that encompasses the whole experience of his wines, it is BEAUTY.
