These last 6 weeks, we've hosted three different groups of retailers and distributors who traveled under the organization of our importer in the USA, Vino del Sol.
As part of the activities, we split the trip into two days; in the first visit we organised a reception at our winery located in Maipú, where Karim introduced the main philosophy behind his winemaking and gave a guided tasting of our Altocedro wines portfolio. Later on, the group enjoyed a Lebanese food dinner hosted by Leyla Mussi, Karim's sister.
"We share our table in Lebanese style, with hospitality and generosity. With the joy of welcoming friends who become family. The tradition is to serve the table with the greatest variety and generosity. Different dishes from the gastronomy of the land of cedars." Leyla Mussi.

On the SECOND DAY, the groups visited our vineyard in La Consulta, Uco Valley, where Karim explained the main practices we carry out on the vines, especially at this time of the year, where the harvest is taking place. We organised different activities for the groups while visiting the vines and the winery, depending on the winemaking practices that were being carried out during each visit. Each time we had a lot of fun and our guests had the opportunity to step into the vineyards, learn more about our winemaking and witness our viticultural practices, those that are part of the identity of this region.
The FIRST GROUP got to play a wine blending game, in which we divided the group into pairs and they were given a set of wine samples of different varietals from which they had to choose the percentages to make their "perfect blend". The winner received a prize.
For the SECOND GROUP, we wanted tthem to experience to be part of the "selection" practices, a key action in a quality winemaking process. The main goal was to remove the leaves and green parts from the bunches of grapes before placing them in the concrete vats.
The THIRD GROUP had the opportunity to be involved in the harvest! We split the group in two, and organised a contest where each team had to harvest Malbec grapes, in order to complete a 20 kg plastic case which they afterwards had to sort their own grapes at the selection table.
In April, we hosted two more groups.
Once again, it was a great fun to receive our friends from USA!
