Last Saturday, April 4th, we celebrated our annual DINNER WITH THE WINEMAKER, this time held again at Club Libanés, located in the Recoleta neighbourhood, Buenos Aires. This gathering, emerged with the intention of treating the members of our Wine Club who, for this occasion, traveled from different parts of the country as well as from Brazil, to taste in Avant Première the new additions to our collection of Jardín de los Caprichos, Caprichos #26, #27 and #28.
With the novelty that this year we had distinguished guests, some of them involved in two of these wines, as well as sharing some news, such as the launch of our first NFT wine and our partnership with the ifAudio team, new wine-related experiences that we have incorporated. A magical night, a special event organised by Luciana Domínguez Abarzúa (Wine Club Manager) and Luciana Ríos Carné.
CAPRICHO #26
A Capricho that evokes the charm of this fragrant and flamboyant variety. A Cabernet Franc that exudes attitude, being explicit, uncompromising; expressing intensity in its aromas, but without sacrificing elegance on the palate. A 100% varietal, from La Consulta, Uco Valley, with 15 months of barrel ageing.
Our inspiration behind this label came from the very famous label - Parental Advisory - that emerged in the 80's in the United States, with the intention of regulating and warning about the "inappropriate" content behind many of the rock and pop songs that were popular at that time. With humour, we took this phrase and changed it to Varietal Advisory, wanting to convey a "warning" about those unmistakable and manifest characteristics of this varietal. As well as the phrase "Sepere Aude", "Dare to Think", which reminds us that nowadays, thinking with a critical spirit demands a lot of courage, of "daring", and sets us apart from the rest.
A Capricho that expresses personality and pays tribute to the ability to shine, to stand out for those qualities that make us unique, even if, at times, a little irreverent.
CAPRICHO #27 - FIRST COLLABORATIVE CAPRICHO
This Capricho pays tribute to Basque culture, which also took root in Mendoza and the rest of the country. For which we have chosen concepts and figures that are very present in their cosmology. A Capricho that evokes the friendship between two cultures, through the joint creation of Karim and Iñaki.
This blend of Malbec and Syrah, aged in oak for 18 months, represents a new "Capricho Colaborado" by Karim Mussi Saffie and Iñaki López de Viñaspre, which is part of a series of wines in which Karim will participate and collaborate in the creation and definition of each one of these wines.
CAPRICHO #28 | CAPRICHO CURADO
This 100% Malbec, with time in bottle, represents a new "Capricho Curado", which is part of a series of wines chosen by Karim, as valuable works of art. As Pilo Bordón (a great friend of the winery), points out, this Capricho evokes those sensations and feelings present in an imaginary Last Dinner. A full-bodied Malbec with intense aromas, elegant and long finish. A thought-provoking wine to drink on its own or in the company of those "chosen ones". A very special Capricho,
Karim and part of our team communicated the launch of the new NFT SERIES, a new and technological experience to have access to our wines in the process of winemaking. We also presented our partnership with ifAudio, suppliers of high fidelity sound equipment, as new experiences that we have incorporated into our projects associated with wine.
Once again, our Wine Club members were able to enjoy an exclusive evening, access our new Caprichos in avant première, and share a special moment being part of this beautiful community.
A special thanks to our Wine Club, Cava and Communication team for the organisation and management of this long awaited and special event.
SOME MORE PICTURES OF THE EVENT AND OUR GUESTS
This time, we counted again with the presence of our Brand Ambassador in Brazil, André Valentim, who was able to travel from Rio de Janeiro to attend this event, as well as some members of our Wine Club Brazil.
