WINE TASTING, LEBANESE FOOD AND VISIT TO OUR VINEYARDS . VINO DEL SOL
Back to all news
As almost a classic now, this year we welcomed back to our friends and importer in USA, @vinodelsolwine, who every year organises wine trips of different groups of retailers and distributors from all over the US, with the aim that the guests get to know more in depth each project and the stories behind each of the wines they bring. We hosted them in our tasting room in Maipú and later in the week, in our vineyards and winery Altocedro, in La Consulta, Uco Valley. 2024

This year, we hosted three different groups of wine professionals who travelled as part of the visit activities organised by our importer in the USA, Vino del Sol. On each occasion, the activity consists of visiting our tasting room in Maipú and later in the week, our vineyards and winery in La Consulta, Uco Valley.

As part of the activities, we divided their visit into two parts; on the first day, we organised a reception at our tasting room located in Maipú, where Karim held a guided tasting of our Altocedro wine portfolio and then the group enjoyed a dinner of Lebanese food made by Leyla Mussi, Karim's sister.

"We share our table in Lebanese style, with hospitality and generosity. With the joy of welcoming friends who become family. The tradition is to serve the table with the greatest variety and generosity. Different dishes from the gastronomy of the land of cedars." Leyla Mussi”.

On the second day, the groups visited our vineyard in La Consulta, Uco Valley, where Karim explained the main practices we carry out on the vines.

We organised different activities for the groups while visiting the vines and the winery, depending on the winemaking practices that were being carried out during each visit. Each time we had a lot of fun and our guests had the opportunity to step into the vineyards, learn more about our winemaking and witness our viticultural practices, those that are part of the identity of this region.

The two groups that visited us in March were able to witness the grape harvest, participating in the selection of the grapes, both in the vineyard and in the reception area at the winery, during the process of discarding the leaves and green parts of the grape bunches before placing them in the concrete vats.

The last group, which came in July, carried out pruning practices, this being perhaps the most crucial practice in the management of a vineyard.

Once again, it was a great visit and a joy to receive our friends from Vino del Sol!
