Karim Mussi (owner and winemaker of Bodegas Altocedro, Alandes and Abras) will launch this month a new series of talks and tastings. It consists of three private sessions, via Zoom and with limited quotas, in which those interested will be able to learn some of the secrets of the winemaking process of his wines. Participants will learn about the stories that gave life to each of his projects: from the beginnings in La Consulta or the adventure of winemaking in Cafayate, to his ambitious project of making wines along the Andes.
The talks, via Zoom, will take place on 19 and 26 June and finally on 3 July at 7pm. Participants must purchase in advance a tasting kit of six bottles (two from Bodega Altocedro, two from Bodega Alandes and two from Bodega Abras).
On 19 June, the following will be tasted: El Turco Blend de Tintas 2018 and Año Cero Tempranillo 2018. On 26 June the wines will be: Abras Torrontés 2017 and Abras Malbec 2017. While on 3 July the selected wines are: Uco Valley Malbec 2018 and Calchaquí Valley 2018 (both from Bodega Alandes).
Those who purchase the kit will also receive: access code to the talks, maps, technical sheets and historical photos. Those interested in participating should contact their nearest wine shop.
Since his beginnings, Karim Mussi has based his oenological dogmas on three fundamental pillars: innovation, understanding of the terroir and sustainable vineyards. His constant obsession to find the purest fruit with a unique identity using the original vines has led him to achieve an original concept for each terroir that manifests itself in each of his wines.
